Gunta Anča is a powerful human rights defender and a wonderful woman with a big heart. Thanks to her, hundreds of people with disabilities from Ukraine were evacuated to Latvia, where they received not only safety, shelter, and care but also the opportunity for communication, medical and psychological assistance.
Through collaboration with the European Disability Forum, Gunta Anča facilitated the provision of personal hygiene products, food, medicine, clothing, and cleaning supplies to affected individuals residing in temporary accommodation centers and shelters. Additionally, efforts were made to equip buildings with beds, washing machines, mobility aids, and more.
We express our gratitude to Gunta Anča for her significant support for people with disabilities in Ukraine. Thank you for supporting the activities of Ukrainian disability organizations and providing professional and expert assistance, which is extremely valuable to us.
