“On 19 May, we held a family celebration in honour of Vyshyvanka Day for families from Ukraine who were displaced by the war in Toronto, Canada. Most of them are parents of children with disabilities. This is the first collaboration between the team of the IO of IDPS disabilities ‘Word Ukraine’ and Creative Inclusion.
The holiday turned out to be fun and informative. The children were drawing, and at the same time Olena Diachenko told the story of the creation of vyshyvanka. It was very interesting. The main surprise was a contact zoo, which gave a lot of positive emotions to both children and adults.
Thank you to the organisers and guests! I am very glad that I was a little bit involved in this event, because the smiles of children is what inspires!
